One of our first tasks was to clear along the hedgerows in the cornfield. Here is a “before” photo prior to work commencing.

Presented our project to the Recreation Hall Committee and received their backing and best wishes for our ideas.

Held a meeting with Peter Fox, Mike Moran and Mark Harry to discuss the way forward for The Cornfield Project. Great news. Result! Following a presentation delivered by Mike Fuller and Paul Lovell we are told we have been successful and will receive £2500 towards our Picnic/Seating Area Project. Many thanks to Monmouthshire Housing Association and their “Love Where You Live” scheme. No news from Mon CC yet. Is no news good news?

March 2013

Received good news. Our application for a grant from “Love Where You Live” has been accepted and we are required to make a presentation of our plans on April 3rd. That day is going to prove very important to our project it seems.

Another frustrating month but had some good news towards the end of the month that, our application for a rental grant on the lease had been accepted, and our application for a 25 year lease would be put before the full cabinet of the council on April 3rd.
